The Delhi unit of the Congress party has initiated an awareness campaign to combat the dangers posed by drugs in the national capital.
According to a statement, under the banner of "Congress's War Against Addiction," Devendra Yadav, the head of the Delhi unit, led a peace march in the presence of party workers and leaders.
Yadav claimed that over the past decade, there has been a significant rise in crime rates, attributing this to the administration and police's failure to curb the widespread use of drugs, illegal alcohol, and other substances among the youth.
He mentioned that the awareness campaign will be conducted in each of the 258 blocks on different dates to convey the message that addiction and crime are destroying society. Additionally, memorandums regarding the deteriorating law and order situation will be submitted at every police station.
